Feeding Our Community

The Food Pantry is Open!

The Food Pantry at Saint Joseph of the Holy Family was established in 1871. It is one of the oldest operating food pantries in New York City, serving groceries to an average of 300 families per week. Every other Saturday we provide groceries and supplies to those in need.

Groceries include canned goods, vegetables, pasta, rice, beans, cereal, oatmeal, juice, and other healthy options. Clients are able to select items and are asked to bring their own bag or small shopping cart when possible. The pantry gives each person representing a household groceries according to the amount of people in that household or immediate family.

Due to the pandemic, items are pre-selected and sandwiches & coffee are temporarily unavailable.

We will be open again on Saturday, January 6th
8:00 AM to 11:00 AM

To keep the food pantry running we rely on donations. You may drop off food in the lower level of the church - Komora Hall. See acceptable items and details on how to drop them off HERE.
